Police may solemnly swear to support the Constitution of the United States, but this is increasingly a meaningless formality for many of them.
For instance, a couple cops in Dallas County, Texas, arrived at Jon Locke’s home to serve an arrest warrant on his brother, who wasn’t there. Mr. Locke wasn’t home either, but instead of coming back at a later time when somebody was home and asking about the brother, the police took it upon themselves to violate the Fourth Amendment and rifle through the homeowner’s possessions. They went so far as to enter his home without a search warrant.
According to WFAA News in Dallas-Forth Worth, the homeowner no longer trusts the police and has decided to sell his house and move out of the area. “I don’t feel safe here at all,” he said. “We lost that trust in GPD [the Garland Police Department]. It’s time for us to go,”
Prior to the Revolution, British officialdom used general warrants under Writs of Assistance to search the property of colonists for contraband, a practice that so outraged the founders they made certain the Fourth Amendment became a bedrock principle of the Bill of Rights. English common law of the period considered it trespass when officials and soldiers invaded homes without legal authorization. “The house of every one is to him as his castle and fortress, as well for his defense against injury and violence as for his repose,” Sir Edward Cooke declared in 1604, nearly two hundred years before the American Revolution.
Nowadays, instead of upholding constitutional law and respecting the principle of individual rights and British common law, the state is engaged in an organized fleecing of the public and conducts revenue enhancement operations often violating the Fourth Amendment with arrogant impunity. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are all but meaningless for federal, state and local government today.
Officer Friendly has been replaced with Officer Thug who not only violates the Constitution he is supposedly sworn to uphold, but also freely engages in sadistic and occasionally homicidal behavior when his petty power is challenged by citizens.
Just an FYI, Dallas now has a very high crime rate compared to what it was. The first police chief that was African American was fired for non-professional behaviors; and another for embezzlement.
Years ago (about 1992), I worked in the Personnel Office of the Police Department for the City of Dallas. It was the time of Affirmative Action. We had to hire an “x” amount of African Americans. There were two problems:
1) White police officers could NOT go into Oak Cliff, TX…a suburb of Dallas. They would be shot at. The logical thing to do was to allow black cops to go.
2) I did the background checks and taught the new African Americans how to do it. Then’I would have to “re-check” their work with the background checks because they were “passing almost EVERY African American” who applied.
I was shocked at the amount of black police officers who were hired BECAUSE white men were being turned down who committed the very same crimes.
Well, they did graduate from the police academy. Problem was? They refused to go into the area they were most needed (the black area) saying it was too dangerous.
My pit bull doesn’t like anyone in a uniform…especially cops, military.

At what point can anyone be trusted to provide evidence in a situation like this when they can obviously plant evidence at the same time. Entrapment of the highest degree. You know when rival gangs want to screw each other they will load the home of the intended victim with contraband and report them. It is called a Set Up.
Certain police are not above doing this especially when they are given quota’s to fill. Just like traffic tickets.
Authority does not replace morality and doing what was reported above is as much a crime as breaking and entering.
A crime is a crime no matter what uniform you wear. Time for them boys to go to jail.
How about it TEXAS, you gonna do the right thing?
That is a common problem with written constitutions, they can be ignored. I prefer a breathing, speaking constitution such as the British have. No one dares ignore their constitution, the Queen!
