So many child stars are pimped out by their parents to sleezy, raping managers who then get them a few measly gigs, making it all look like a "favor" to the child. The kids are introduced to drugs early for the purposes of sex, weight loss or sleeping off the speed/coke taken during the day. The "work hard, play hard" lifestyle is normalized; kids are forced to grow up WAY too soon.
As they get older, they're faced with the pain of being valued only for their youth and looks, and are discarded when their 15 minutes is up. You can count the well-known female actresses over 55 who are still getting roles on one hand.

I'd bet almost anything that this poor girl was sexually abused as a child. It isn't just the stresses of being on TV at too young an age, there's something else behind all of this, it happens just too often to these unfortunate people.
