A New Jersey firearms instructor posted a photo of his 11 year old son holding a .22 rifle after the boy completed the state hunter safety course and the result was a police raid.

Home raided over Facebook photo

“Someone called family services about the photo,” said Evan Nappen, an attorney representing Shawn Moore.

“It led to an incredible, heavy-handed raid on his house. They wanted to see his gun safe, his guns and search his house. They even threatened to take his kids.”

Moore was not arrested or charged.

With his attorney on speaker phone, Moore instructed the officers to leave his home.
“I was told I was being unreasonable and that I was acting suspicious because I wouldn’t open my safe,” Moore wrote on the Delaware Open Carry website. “They told me they were going to get a search warrant. I told them to go ahead.”

Moore took this photo of police outside his home.

Nappen told Fox News the police wanted to inventory his firearms.

“”We said no way, it’s not happening,” he said. “This is a guy who is completely credentialed and his son is also credentialed.”

The attorney said police eventually left and never returned.

This isn’t just about guns. This is about the culture war; a war we are losing. Just 20 years ago, no police force in the nation would have raided a home over a photo of a boy with a gun. That someone would report this photo and that the police didn’t shrug it off with a “so what?” is proof that we are losing the culture.

We live in a society in which a growing number of Americans fear guns and believe they are inherently evil. With the relentless drum beat of the media driving that point home, their numbers will grow. If we don’t find a way to take control of the parts of the culture we prize, we will lose them.

If it weren’t for automatic weapons sweet Alice would not be able to save the day fighting all those Zombies that were created by the Umbrella Corporation.
What would we do without realistic media? Real-is-tic does not make it real!

I fired my first weapon at the age of 7. I wen hunting with My Uncle Ted regularly. When I joined the service I qualified Small arms Marksman in Boot Camp I hit the target 135 out of 100 times. The guys beside me did not do so well. It was determined that I hit it exactly 100 times in the kill spot and they hit A target most of the time.

My experience with weapons made me “a better soldier” hell at least I came home. Those other guys didn’t.
Every one should have a healthy respect for weapons, knowledge of proper use and training. Not some anal media induced irrational fear. Weapons education for children would go a long way on preventing accidental death from curious children.

Most the kids I grew up with learned and owned their own rifles by the age of 10. Now we are apparent; surrounded by fanatical pussies afraid of inert objects that are only dangerous in uneducated hands.
While the media glorifies killing on television, in movies and violent de-sensitizing video games.
Who is really at fault here? The same people that are creating the problem to begin with?
NOPE It is those damned scary looking weapons.
Is that AR- frickin 22 so scary? It is not much different than the bolt action I learned on. Just more plastic to make it cool looking.

What was the difference between a Ford Pinto and Mustang II? Plastic. Same engines different crap. It is not the weapons nor the vehicles it is the drivers or the users.

I wonder if we can find a way to blame this all on Firestone?

Purely disgusting. That DuFuS broad, DuFuS itself and the cops that came with her (who should have known better) should be sued for everything they have, at least.
