Illinois illegally seizes Bees Resistant to Monsanto’s Roundup; Kills remaining Queens

The Illinois Ag Dept.  illegally seized privately owned bees from renowned naturalist, Terrence Ingram, without providing him with a search warrant and before the court hearing on the matter, reports Prairie Advocate News.

Behind the obvious violations of his Constitutional rights is Monsanto. Ingram was researching Roundup’s effects on bees, which he’s raised for 58 years.  “They ruined 15 years of my research,” he told Prairie Advocate, by stealing most of his stock.

Illinois illegally seizes Bees Resistant to Monsanto’s Roundup; Kills remaining Queens

A certified letter from the Ag Dept.’s Apiary Inspection Supervisor, Steven D. Chard, stated:

“During a routine inspection of your honeybee colonies by … Inspectors Susan Kivikko and Eleanor Balson on October 23, 2011, the bacterial disease ‘American Foulbrood’ was detected in a number of colonies located behind your house…. Presence of the disease in some of your colonies was confirmed via test results from the USDA Bee Research Laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland that analyzed samples collected from your apiary….”

Ingram can prove his bees did not have foulbrood, and planned to do so at a hearing set in April, but the state seized his bees at the end of March. They have not returned them and no one at the Ag Dept. seems to know where his bees are.

The bees could have been destroyed, or they could have been turned over to Monsanto to ascertain why some of his bees are resistant to Roundup. Without the bees as evidence, Ingram simply cannot defend against the phony charges of foulbrood.

Worse, all his queens died after Kivikko and Balson “inspected” his property, outside of his presence and without a warrant.

Of note, Illinois beekeepers are going underground after Ingram’s experience and refuse to register their hives, in case the state tries to steal their private property on phony claims.

I don’t see how this guy could “prove” he didn’t have foul brood when it had already been confirmed through testing. Sounds like guy had sick bees that were a potential threat to his neighbors. Rather than take responsibility he spins a preposterous story that gets picked up by politico nutters. Why can’t conspiracy theorists smell a con when it’s staring them in the face?

Illinois is the center of the Amerikan gulag. They should go under ground…but beware they will have their snoops out there spying on you for the corrupted government!!

they will keep the bees for themselves, and add them to the vault of natural seeds they have as well. we are headed towards a one world gov if you haven’t already noticed…once we are there the elites will rule and we will all be their peasants. they will eat the real food, and we will eat the fake food…they already have our bodies acclimated to it, they are just going full fledged with it now, no need to take it slow anymore. they are gansters, and they will take what they want and need, from whoever they want and need it from…this is a worldwide situation, wars don’t just happen because two ppl don’t like each other, its usually about the resources the elite can get from the land they are willing to concoct a war for, and attempt to steal the land/resources either during a war and/or after a successful war.

what is happening as of this 21st century, is not going to slow down or get any better…we are now in the toilet bowl flush of what this world has become, and it must completely flush before all the sh*t is gone.

True, but it is God’s judgement against America for turning away from him. You can’t fight God so what good would it do to go after someone? It is the same as you fighting God.

Really? Westboro much? THIS COMMENT and many others are the reason we are turning our back on your religion. And uh space exploration, plus 90% of the science community calls BS.

It doesn’t pay to fight Mother Nature, I mean Monsanto.

Collecting research data and using such data in scientific format are two different things. This data would assist those that have access to data from other sources. Those that can can compare said research data with the data from a GM free area. He’s a farmer that keeps records not a scientist that presents the difference in scientific format.
Don’t change the subject by taking cheap shots which show your lack of common sense and complete disregard for the rule of law.
What is the issue here? The publishing of data that proves the damage caused by GMO crops or the illegal destruction of private property?
Kill and steal his bees without due process because he didn’t publish his data. Come on, you can do better than that. Can’t you?

Good for the rest of the Bee keepers. Sounds like alot of these politicians are prostitutes for monsanto. I will always continue to grow my plants with Heirloom seeds. If it ever gets to where we can’t get good reliable and safe food to eat then neither will the perverts and criminals at monsanto. Besides, not every vegetable needs bees to poliinate. There are alot of politicians, judges and buisness men in this country that are traitors and criminals to this great Nation. And the white house

  10. Blue Dog says:

So he did 15 years worth of research and still didn’t have anything to publish? Sounds like a waste of 15 years to me.

Not to long ago I thought Alex Jones was a nut job. Our government keeps proving him right. This storyis very scary and very disturbing.

  13. Bee Aware says:

This is a very big deal to anyone that understands what is going on with GMO’s and our government’s take over, agenda 21. These roundup resistant bees are the only way to grow standard plants in the coming future. GMO’s don’t require pollination like normal plant crops do, no need for bees. But that means if we do not have bees nothing else will grow! Eat GMO’s or don’t eat! This is way more important than most of us know! I can only hope and pray that Mr. Ingram can, through his research records reproduce these Queen Bees faster than before.

  14. David says:

Something isn’t right about this story. If an inspector finds AFB, the bees will be destroyed as soon as possible. The inspection was in Oct. 2011 and the bees were not delt with until March 2012?? Very odd. AFB is not very common because of the very aggressive action taken against it.

  15. David says:

Why would Monsanto care if the bees were “resistant” to roundup. Roundup is a herbicde (kills plants) not an insecticide. Bees should never be sprayed with roundup and if they inadvertantly are it probably would not hurt them unless they drowned in it(or got a huge dose). Monsanto would be thrilled to have bees resistant to roundup.

American foulbrood on the other hand is one of the oldest and most dangerous honeybee diseases. There is no cure for it and the typical rx is to destroy the bees, the hives and the honey by burning. Antibiotics can hide the symptomes but the hives remain infected, and the equipment can be sterilized in a chemical autoclave, but it is expensive and not readily available.
