Pixie Scientific (PS) has developed the Smart Diaper (SD) that has a QR code device embedded into the diaper that will allow parents and healthcare professionals to monitor the baby’s bodily functions as well as overall health.
PS describes themselves as “a group of explorers with backgrounds in biomedical engineering, computer science, mathematics, and physics. We are on a journey to improve lives by making smart products that unobtrusively watch over children’s health. We are committed to empower physicians and parents around the world with quality data and relevant information from a position of independence.”
The QR device tracks the child’s urine, watching for signs of urinary tract infection, dehydration and possible kidney problems that could develop.
Test strips surrounding the QR code will transmit findings based on testing of the child’s bodily waste.
With the use of a smartphone and app, parents can scan the QR code. Complex algorithms will analyze the contents, giving a daily output to make sure the child is healthy.
The Android add used with SD will allow parents to scan the code and see the results from analysis to determine their child’s overall health.
According to PS: “By taking useful data from a wet Smart Diaper, we make use of something that would normally be thrown directly into the trash. Smart Diapers alert you to certain conditions that require immediate attention and also track your child’s health for months or years, automatically looking for emerging trends.”
Jennie Rubinshteyn, a mother of a 1 year old and user of SD remarked that “this is about health monitoring, not understanding whether the diaper is wet.”
Rubinshteyn and her husband, Yaroslav Faybishenko, own PS.
The SD is in the beta-testing phase, and have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Rubinshteyn would like to see the FDA approve SD for pediatric use and is working toward that goal.
Faybishenko explained: “I was driving with my wife and daughter one day, when my wife asked if the baby had wet herself. I realized she was sitting in data. What we want to build is protection that’s unobtrusive and integrates with a parent’s work flow. It speaks up when there is a reason to be concerned. It is something that stays silent most of the time, but speaks up when you need to take your child to a doctor.”
Rubinshteyn said : “I am not sure you need this for the average kid. I’m not confident this is a useful screen for a bladder infection because it’s not a clean specimen. Also, for these highly anxious parents, I am not sure it will be reassuring. It might be alarming, in fact.”
Tracking our children has become a popular thing for parents and public school officials.
Last August, the San Antonio school district, the Student Locator Project (SLP) is being beta-tested at Jay High School and Jones Middle School – two schools in the Northside district. The SLP includes the use of radio frequency identification technology (RFID) to “make schools safer, know where our students are while at school, increase revenues, and provide a general purpose ‘smart’ ID card.”
In order to check out school library books, register for classes, pay for school lunches, the “smart” ID card is being employed to trace and track students and their movements on campuses all across America.
By using leverage of educators to coerce school districts to adopt this method of tracking students, the argument for the use of the RFID technology is campus safety, efficient registration, and food and library programs.
In Austin, Texas, collaboration with the Global Positioning System (GPS) and RFID technology is being used to deter students from skipping classes. In fact, those students having a negative record with the school they attend are being targeted to be under surveillance.
An estimated 1,700 students have already been pledged to the program with parental permission. These students are assigned a “mentor” who oversees the actions of the students and to whom the students must contact on a weekly basis to report to. This is reminiscent of having a parole officer for student who have not committed a crime, yet are being touted as pre-criminals.

Furthermore, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is endeavoring to collect the DNA of all children to be stored in case of a future arrest or circumstance wherein the use of their DNA would be pertinent or necessary for involvement in criminal activity and conviction.
DHS estimates that 1 million people are subject to this intrusive collection because of incarceration and non-criminal reasons. Children who are caught in the criminal system have their DNA stored along with adult offenders, according to the Council for Responsible Genetics.
Jennifer Lynch of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) asserts: “Collecting DNA from anyone detained by the government for any number of non-criminal reasons – especially juveniles – seems to be yet another step on the slippery slope of collecting DNA from everyone in the United States, no matter their status.”
The US Congress passed the Katie Sepich Enhanced DNA Collection Act of 2010 that expanded the collection of DNA in the name of protecting children and enhancing federal criminal databases. This works in tandem with the DNA Initiative which provides “funding, training and assistance to ensure that forensic DNA reaches its full potential to solve crimes, protect the innocent and identify missing persons.”
DNA collection is justified for the purposes of obtaining a medical history and predisposition to disease. These samples then become part of the warrantless collections that are mingled in with criminal profiles to create genetic databases on all American citizens.

As DNA collecting continues, the use of RFID chipping facilitates the monitoring and movements of American citizens. Beginning with children, the US government is working to control the most important aspects of American society. The generations who grow up in a control grid will not question their enslavement.
They will trust law enforcement in a fear-filled respect and hope that they will not be taken under pre-crime circumstances into the prisons. They will cower at the prospect of their DNA being used against them. These two in tandem will serve to keep future generations in line and avoid massive uprisings as is seen in our current social climate. These controls are sold as making our world “safer” or “better”, yet they go unnoticed for what they really are.
These are the final chapters being written in the systematic and planned-implosion of our free society.
