This was the end of the Davidic covenant, literally, between the God of Israel and Davids sons ruling on the Throne of David, their father. According to Jer. 30:9, Ezek. 34:23-24, 37:24, Hosea 3:5. These verses explain who the Messiah of the Hebrews is by name. King David will literally be born into this world and rule His own Kingdom in the flesh. These prophesies of David returning were prophesied hundreds of years after David was dead and there is nothing to hard for the GOD of Israel. I also regard the new testament as man-made pagan fiction, not inspired or dictated by the GOD of Israel. The authors of the new testament were followers of Jesus not the GOD of Israel.
