World War 2 affected the Philippines too! Before Japan invaded the Philippines, we were one of the richest countries in Asia and was about to get independence on July 4, 1945. But then the Philippines was attacked and many structures were damaged or destroyed. Some buildings around the Philippines from World War still remain in ruins.Do you guys even know the Bataan Death March? the battle of Leyte Gulf (which is the greatest naval battle in history)? Or at least the battle of Corregidor?

Funny how they hop from "Japan surrendered after atomic bombings" to "Europe in ruins". They make it sound like the war in Asia (besides the atomic bombings and perhaps Pearl Harbor) wasn't that much of a deal! :/

meh, Germans deserve that for killing more civilians than people, though I was born in a country not in ww2 and live in u.s, its my onion
