Great Stuff!!! Cheers to MEMORIES
James was actually my favorite character
the TV shows were the best back then
That's the exact way I am. If a decision has already been made, then there's nothing else left to talk about. He is still one of my favorite actors to this day.
What a gentleman, and a very fine actor. Love John Amos!
This is beautiful
COOL GUY AND A GREAT ACTOR……………..
The last real t.v. dad.
This "Good Times" show is my favorite! I almost cried when he died in that episode! It said he died in Mississippi! Good Times wasn't the same without him! I watch this show as soon as I hear that theme song or when it's 8:00 (on our dish channel 305)! I watch this show like no other show! And when I watched this thing, I now know why they said he died in Mississippi on the episode! He had quit! And now that Florida is dead, Good Times is never the same! So I watch every single episode on DVR! Good Times does a really great job and that's FINAL!???
if there were more fathers like James Evans in this world the violence among our young boys would be at a very low level
the show got bad after James was killed off that's why I only watch s1-s3. he was the best thing on the show
Once they killed off James the show was no longer worth watching!
Love him on the show and now in reality! Great actor!!
interesting
Wow! I always thought they killed him off because he got the role on Roots and left on his own accord. I'll have to watch the next video about his role on Roots to see what he says about it.
and the show went down after that, I was a big fan I remember.
your were very very VERY important to the show and the fans of the Show. even today I don't like to watch the reruns without you in it.
My 2nd Dad. God love you Mr. Amos!
The biggest mistake for that show. Good Times flopped after that. Some episodes were okay but it wasn't the same without him. The best episodes were those first three seasons though I agree about JJ they made him too stupid to the point it was unrealistic for no one could be that stupid all the time. I always read too though that they never wanted a father for the show it was something Esther Rolle fought for so getting rid of him was no problem for they never wanted to have the father anyway. They wanted to continue the stereotypical show of the the single mother so John was a pioneer. Look how many shows followed his footsteps when they cast a father to their show. Big loss to Good Times.
You certainly were an important part of the cast!!! It stunk after u left!!!
