The KJV is not the original English translation that goes to the Tyndale version. That was translated directly from Greek and Hebrew texts. In other words tg e KJV, NLT, ESV, NIV are just translations. if you want a formal equivelant, ie.. word for word read the KJV, NKJV, or ESV. if you want a paraphrased version use NLT or NIV.
I used to really like the Scofield reference bible but now I just read the Bible itself. Gods words are what's important. Theologians opinions mean nothing. Those were the scribes and lawyers when Jesus Christ was preaching the gospel of salvation by grace. The pastors now are like the Pharisees and various denominations of that time as well. All you need is Jesus Christ as your savior and redeemer. Then just do your best. It's that simple.
