It's a cool subject to base a documentary on. But how come every american documentary have the need to be sensational, and dramatic? Just in the intro alone, I'm overwhelmed by the hollywood virus.
"Super dramatic music playing"… "people screaming, dying, and being miserable"… "THE DARK AGES!"… "…While the world around them decended into HELL!". "Music gets tenser" … "even more dramatic exaggerated headlines".
We're talking about a time in history here. The therm "dark ages" is problematic to use in the first place. They make it sound like Europe was nothing but death and destruction at that time. But hey, I guess that will catch peoples short attention span.
